May’s enthusiasm for Curmay is deep rooted in her family history. At 19 years old, she lost her dad and her mother was busy taking care of her younger siblings. May started working as airport ground staff at this tender age and would travel all the way, 450 miles, from Penang to Singapore.

Her mother is 75 years old now, but still sells products and makes money. Why? It makes her financially independent and she is able to make an impact with her work.

Auntie Gang, Curmay’s distribution arm, is helping the underdogs, everyday people, rise in a market where businesses spend millions on marketing and leave no room for ordinary people. Curmay strives to empower aunties, people like Curmy’s and May’s mothers, who have the fire in their belly and the will to make an impact with hard work.
